PLATJA ES POAL
I want to say something.
Something in my outside voice.
About the water lilies, the blue dragonflies, the by-the-wind sailors,
About the ignorance of our selves, the depth of our heritage, the tree rings,

I want to paint something.
Something in blue,
always blue.
With ink and tears and more ink, using the last strands of my brush.
I want it to spread - across the canvas, onto the wooden floor and seep into the tree rings, under my nails and stain my elbows. I want my neighbour to want that same picture on their wall, and to cry and to laugh and to feel.

about
"Oh the joy of our seascapes and landscapes!
I’m drawn to unravelling the deep connection we have with our environment. Line-work weaves through my canvas as a narrative, relating the parts and taking root. Water is a dominant feature in my art, as the sea has been my place of respite and replenishment since my young self. My art aspires to bring delight and remind us of the awe that is our home.”
Kelly Allison's artistic inclination flourished during her design and architectural studies in Canada, the UK and Sweden. Originally from Vancouver, she has been living abroad for many years, continues to travel extensively and today lives in France. This diverse cultural background, along with her current observations of the natural world, inform her artwork. Kelly uses acrylic, oil pastel & ink as mediums, using nature's curves & village lines to tell her story.
Kelly sells her works worldwide.
« Oh, la joie de nos paysages marins et terrestres !
Je ressens un besoin de démêler ce lien profond que nous avons avec notre environnement. Le trait se faufile sur ma toile comme un récit, reliant les chapitres et prenant racine. L'eau occupe une place prépondérante dans mon art, car la mer est mon lieu de répit et de ressourcement depuis mon plus jeune âge. Mon art aspire à apporter de la joie et à nous rappeler l'émerveillement que représente notre Terre Mère. »
